Long legs extended in front of the Russian blue tom cat. His small paws fanned out and his claws dug into the ground holding him steady as he leaned down his chest brushing against the ground. His thick fur was groomed to perfection and it shone like raven feathers in the bright dawn sunlight. His wide green eyes closed as he leaned forward stretching his back. He looked around the camp and lashed his tail lightly. Wind lifted his head and shook it until the sensation continued down his whole body through his tail. how is no one awake as of yet? He thought to himself. He wanted desperately to hunt with someone, He hadn't been out of the cave in ages, and he needed to stretch his long legs. He lashed his tail again and looked around waiting for someone to accompany him.

Smoke, returning from a dawn patrol, spotted his Healer in the clearing and decided to go talk to him. Surely Wind would get sick and tired of being treated like he was king of the world- he probably wished they would trat him normally.
But still, respect was key in addressing your Healer. So Smoke dipped his head and mewed politely. "Good morning, Wind."
Wind was only a few moons older than Smoke, but his high position made him seem much older, at least to the grey tom. Peacekeeper was younger still- only a moon older than Smoke- but he supposed when no one let you out of camp and into danger, you aged quicker than if you had adrenaline pulsing in your veins.

Wind's large ears pricked forward at the sound to the tom in his tribe. A name whispered through his mind and he nodded to the tom. "Good morning Smoke." He said and his tail lashed lightly around his paws. "Anything to report on the borders?" He asked his large round green eyes flickering between the toms. He wanted desperately to leave the camp, he wanted to stretch his legs and take in the fresh scent of prey and the fresh scent of clean air rushing past his face as he chased prey. It had been moons since he had last been out of the camp and he wanted to leave so badly he could taste the desire in his mouth.

“No,” Smoke said grudgingly. Of course no border action was a good thing- but to Smoke, it was a dangerous, boring time that would lull his Tribe into security before one of the other Tribes drove them out.
Yes, he was a bit paranoid. But he almost wished he had a reason to fight one of the other Tribes. He hadn’t attacked someone in ages, hadn’t felt their fur between his claws or heard them squealing like a kit as he defeated them. But the Tribe of Golden Trees hadn’t passed them on a patrol in ages. He at least could do with some arguing and accusations. Times of peace were so boring!!!

Wind caught himself almost sighing. Wishing he would have a reason to start a battle between himself and another tribe. It had been ages since he had fought a good fight, with more than just his sharp clever tongue. Unknowingly he and Smoke were thinking the same things. He lashed his tail and looked around. "Well...let's not lull ourselves into false security." he said calmly before turning his eyes to the tom before him. "Let us remove ourselves from this peaceful place And find something to dig our claws into shall we?" He asked and turned toward the entrance to the cave. This tom was much darer then his tribe knew. Little did they know that his heart was blacker then the deepest shadow in the darkest night.
